VLADIMIR ZAKHAROV’S THEATRE Established by Vladimir Zakharov as family theatre of two actors in 1992. Puppets of new type, namely, puppets on wrist (unique in the world), designed and fabricated by V.Zakharov, are primarily used for puppet shows. The first shows was the play by V.Zakharov "Jean from Pod" staged in 1992. ‘omputer-aided unique equipment (know-how) was created in 1994 to conduct the show. It includes light, music, controllable lanterns, mechanical puppets, and other mechanisms. Parallel language was specially developed to control a personal computer. The second show of the theatre was "Little Prince" by Saint-Exupery staged in 1995. Vladimir Zakharov and Ol’ga Kushkova are in the troupe of the theatre together with their puppets. Talanted people joined their forces to aid the development of the theatre. Among them are producer Vladimir Kozlov, designer of unique equipment and computer software Sergei Gurin, stylist Larisa Smakovskaya, and composer Nikolai Fedyaev. The theatre is mobile and shows mainly guest-performances. The theatre won grand-prize of the All-Russia Festival of original works of actors of puppet theatres held in Nizhnii Novgorod in 1992.
