OF OLD MUSIC KAMERATA Established in 1995. Promoted by the Culture Administration of the Tomsk Mairie. PERSONNEL Ensemble consists of 8 musicians and administration. ACTIVITIES The center was established in March 1995 on the basis of the ensemble of early music Kamerata founded by A.Kazanskii, musician of the symphonic orchestra, S.Tikhonenko, lecturer of the Medical Institute, and L.Kazanskaya, student of the music school, at the Tomsk House of Scientists in 1978. Over the years members of the orchestra changed. Each concert of the ensemble is a synthesis of theatre action, instrumental and vocal music, and poetry. The atmosphere of Middle Ages was created by playing music authentic instruments fabricated by modern masters with the use of historical descriptions and pictures of the instruments. The repertoire includes shows "Wheel of Fortune" - musical-scenic composition after works of masters of Middle Ages (Spanish canticles from the collection of king Alfonso X, Anglo-Norman and Italian dances, songs in vagantes verse from the collection "Carmine Burana"); "Pearls of Poety and Music of Renaissance between 15th and 17th centuries of Italy, Spain, England, and Germany"; and, "Music in Baroque" (I.Bach, G.Telemann, and A.Vivaldi).
