Established in October of 1976.
SPHERE OF ACTIVITY
Vocational education on the basis of continuous multilevel
training. Education time varies from 3 months to 5 years
with possible transfer to the Tomsk Polytechnic University
or Tomsk State Academy
of Architecture and Civil Engineering
to become a third-year student.
Students learn at three Departments.
At the Mechanical Department, they are learned to become motor mechanics, drivers, truck crane operators, and mechanics.
At the Artistic Department, they are learned to become
drawing-masters, instructors in handicraft, wood-painters,
designers, joiners, and wood-engravers.
At the Civil Engineering Department, they are learned
to become electric gas welders and foremen of civil engineering
and decoration departments.
There are large motor-vechicle pool in the Ly.
It produces souvenirs, furniture, and welded metalworks based
on vocational experience of students.
A motor-vehicle repair shop has been established.
Improvement of the level of general education
and cultural level of students has been included in curriculum
(specialized courses on history of art, ethics of public relations,
family upbringing, and so on).
The Regional Department of Study of Human Nature
and Social Psychology gives psychological support to students
and corrects their behavior giving individual and group lessons.
Thirty general education, sport, esthetic, vocational, and psychological creative groups and amateur groups of students serve their interests. In 1995, 95 students won regional competitions,
Olympiads, and reviews, 5 students won prizes
of the All - Russia Amateur Art Festival.
